Flugelhorn, model 181L

Master craftsmanship, elegance, great intonation, and superb playability – these are the hallmarks of the professional 181L flugelhorn. It features a hand-hammered soldered golden brass bell of a standard size (smaller than the one on the legendary 182 model). The valve mechanism, made on site by our own CNC equipment, has an 11.7 mm bore and features Dutch-style valve levers with tops-springs. The instrument comes with first-rate Minibal ball joints. The 181L flugelhorn boasts great responsiveness, a very pleasing higher register, and great intonation. Produced without a bell garland and a guard, it is lightweight and, therefore, very well-suited for longer performances.

The basic model has a lacquered finish. The 181S model has a polished silver-plated finish (made by ÖGUSSA Austria). For a surcharge, we also offer a silver-plated finish with gold-plated hardware, and a fully gold-plated finish (made by ÖGUSSA Austria).
